Classification of synchronous belts
There are two types of synchronous belt teeth: trapezoidal teeth and arc teeth, and there are three series of arc teeth: circular arc teeth (H series also known as HTD belt), flat-top arc teeth (S series also known as STPD belt), and concave top parabolic teeth (R series).
Trapezoidal tooth synchronization belt
Trapezoidal tooth synchronous belts are divided into two types: single-sided teeth and double-sided teeth. (Trailer belts) are simply called single-sided belts and double-sided belts. The double-sided belts are divided into symmetrical tooth type (code DA) and interlaced tooth type (code DB) according to the tooth placement method.
Trapezoidal teeth synchronization has two scale systems: pitch system and module system. my country uses the pitch system and formulates the corresponding specifications for synchronous belt transmission in accordance with ISO 5296 GB/T 11361~11362-1989 and GB/T 11616-1989.
Arc tooth synchronization belt
Except for the tooth shape of the arc-tooth synchronization belt, its layout is basically the same as that of the trapezoidal synchronization belt. The band has an appropriate pitch, and its tooth height, tooth root thickness and rounded corner radius are all larger than that of the trapezoidal teeth. After the tooth is loaded, the stress dispersion is good, which smoothes the stress concentration at the root of the tooth and improves the bearing capacity of the teeth. (Box-blocking belt) Therefore, the arc-tooth synchronization belt transmits greater power than the trapezoidal-tooth synchronization belt, and can avoid the drying of the teeth during the meshing process.
The arc-tooth synchronization belt has good wear resistance, low noise during operation, does not need to be smooth, and can be used in harsh environments with dust. It has been widely used in food, automobile, textile, pharmaceutical, printing, papermaking and other occupations.
Features of synchronous belt
(1) Accurate transmission, no sliding during operation, and has a stable transmission ratio;
(2) The transmission is stable, (traction machine belt) has buffering and vibration reduction capabilities, and low noise;
(3) High transmission efficiency, up to 0.98, and significant energy-saving effect;
(4) Convenient protection, no need to be smooth, and low protection cost;
(5) The speed ratio is large, usually up to 10, and the linear speed can reach 50m/s. (Box-blocking belt) has a large power transmission scale, up to several watts to hundreds of kilowatts;
(6) Can be used for long-distance transmission, with the middle distance up to more than 10m.
(7) Compared with V-belt transmission, the preload force is small and the load on the shaft and bearing is small;
