The transmission is composed of a closed annular tape with equally spaced teeth on the inner circumference surface and a synchronous pulley with corresponding teeth. The transmission is driven in the meshing direction between the teeth. When the transmission is working, the protruding teeth of the synchronous belt mesh with the synchronous belt tooth grooves to transmit movement and power. Compared with other transmissions, synchronous belt transmission has the following advantages:
1. No sliding during work, no steps are lost, and accurate transmission ratio
Synchronous belt transmission is a meshing transmission. Although the synchronous belt synchronous belt is an elastic body, since the load-bearing rope in which the load is not elongated under the action of tension, the transmission belt can keep the belt pitch unchanged, so that the belt and the gear groove can be correctly meshed, achieving synchronous transmission without slippage, and obtaining an accurate transmission ratio.
2. High transmission efficiency and good energy-saving effect. Since the synchronization belt is used for non-sliding synchronous transmission, it has a higher transmission efficiency, which can generally reach 0.98. Compared with triangular belt transmission, it has obvious energy-saving effects, which can be proved by the following examples.
From the above examples, synchronous belt transmission has great potential in energy saving, so using synchronous belt transmission can achieve higher economic benefits.
3. Large transmission ratio range and compact structure
The transmission ratio of synchronous belt transmission can generally reach about 10, and the conveyor belt is also compact in the case of a large transmission ratio. Because the synchronous belt transmission is an engagement transmission, the diameter of the synchronous belt is much smaller than the triangular belt pulley that relies on friction to transmit power. In addition, since the synchronous belt does not require large tension, the size of the pulley shaft and bearing can be reduced. Therefore, compared with triangular belt transmission, under the same transmission ratio, the synchronous belt transmission has a relatively compact structure.
4. Easy maintenance and low operation cost. Since the bearing rope in the synchronous belt is made of glass fiber, steel wire and other materials with very small elongation, the belt length is very small during operation, and there is no need to adjust the tension force frequently like triangle belts, chains, etc. In addition, the synchronous belt does not require any lubrication during operation, so it is very convenient to maintain and the operating cost is much lower than that of the triangle belt, chain, and gear.
5. Can work normally under harsh environmental conditions
Under harsh working conditions with dust impurities, water and corrosive media, the chain is prone to rust and wear, and the triangle belt will slip, while the transmission of the synchronous belt can adapt to these conditions. Because it is an engagement transmission, industrial belts will not slip in the presence of rain, and water is a good lubricant for rubber, which can reduce the wear of the belt. When there are dust impurities, when the synchronous belt belt teeth enter the pulley wheel groove, the belt teeth will squeeze the air originally left in the wheel groove, causing the compressed air to be discharged to both sides of the wheel groove. This air squeezing will simultaneously clean the meshing surface and take away the dust impurities, thereby reducing the wear of the synchronous belt. In addition, the synchronization has high corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and can still work normally under high temperature and corrosive gases.
